Rock Band Price & Date Comparison Tables For UK

Enough is a enough EA, put us all out of our misery and tell us whats the deal with Rock Band in the UK. Preferably release it in June-ish (May is GTA4 time) time and say £110 for the complete bundle. Still the impending release is so close you can smell it, surely we should know at least a few tidbits about the game. We take a look at the price and date rumors that have flooded game sites for months and hopefully answer your questions.

How much will Rock Band cost?

Probably more important than the release date is the dreaded cost. Here’s a table of prices based on the complete bundle. That includes a copy of the game, a guitar, a microphone and one set of drums. US prices have been taken from Amazon.com, Canadian prices from Best Buy and the rumored European prices have been taken from videogaming247.

This is basically useless information until you see the conversions. Converted using XE.

Obviously the final release won’t be at those low-low US prices but expect something in between the US and European prices. More towards the European side though .

How much will the single instruments cost?

If you already have the Guitar Hero controller and don’t want another ‘bass’ guitar, you’ll be interested in the eventual single instrument packs. We took some information from the aforementioned videogaming247, Amazon.com & Amazon.ca. Prices are just the instruments (Xbox 360 version) without a copy of the game.

£40 sounds like a bargain but at that price it might be cheaper to import the separate instruments from Canada.

Finally, when can I get the game?

This is a tough one, that can’t really be answered with nice looking graphs but lets give it a shot.

Fine I lied about the lack of a graph albeit unnecessary. If your wondering where that EA stat came from, we had a chance to talk to them at the recent play.com event in London.

It appears that the retailers seem to be pretty confident about a May release date. It seems a bit too soon but not impossible.

Who knows when EA will release information about an actual well kept secret, a rarity nowadays. Based on the stats, our best guess is £120 for the bundle and apparently sometime during May.
