Could you imagine that when the Xbox 360 launched it would end up with Netflix, Twitter, Facebook and Last FM? The service was such a closed and monetised operation until late when Microsoft have seemingly thrown caution to the wind. It’s actually great to see and while the appeal of Twiiter and Facebook might wear off after a couple of spins, Paypal support we’ll be forever grateful for.

At the moment the only way to buy things directly through your 360 is with a credit card and not everyone has one for obvious reasons. Well in America you can now add your Paypal account to your 360 and effectively pay with any type of transaction you desire. Bank transfer, Debit card, eBay purchases. You name it, Paypal can do it.

Hopefully this is another step towards a logical Xbox Marketplace with real prices. But we still need Paypal support worldwide.
