<description>I have a pile of magazines right by the foot of my bed, infact since you mention edge, I actually use edge magazine to hold up my bed up. (broke it a while ago, not getting another, to much effort)

Only problem here is that EDGE and a few other magazines are costly, though one magazine here in NZ where I am is 5 NZD a month, now that I can part with, its not flashy, not full of content, looking at around 20 pages... quiet a good read, last few pages have DVD reviews, a few pages of news, few pages of reviews. Best buy I make a month, the news in it can be rather amusing and weird at times... a lot about people being killed over videogames etc. But keeps me entertained for an hour, and seeing as to recent a recent movie over here cost 8 dollars, its not to bad.

I think it took them about 6 issues, before getting sponsored, and building up a good readership. Though what you need to keep in mind, I think at least... is about 6 months in your writers etc deserve some money, so you begin to be a magazine for proffit.

Print magazine is nice and all, but keeping it cheap is a mission. The good news is print magazine tends to get a lot of exclusive look at things.

However my opinion is, you can never not produce news in Magazines/Gaming Sites, the only thing you choose is what news you focus on, it could be big news, release dates, a few weird bits, or all of the above. With Print magazine you need a good eye for spotting news that won&#039;t change on you.

Such as...Tetris, 25 years old! &lt;- everyone knows at the time of that publication, Tetris had indeed turned 25 years old! (Which everyone who uses google, at this very point in time is pretty well aware of seeing as thats their Google title at the moment. Which I think from a gaming standpoint is pretty news worthy in its own right! http://www.google.com ) Well you get the idea.</description>
