Recently we have been looking at the way the site works and the fact that its a massive load of upkeep and work to keep functioning. Call us slackers brilliant but most of us have other passions and dedications to commit to and although we’d all like to make this site super awesome, 24 hours a day it’s currently not possible. So its time for a change.

The major change will be the main function of the site. Before you saw a basic IGN/1Up/Gamespot style approach with news, reviews etc… Well now we are planning to make it more of a community orientated blog to support the guys in the forums.

You can currently see our new cool blue skin that has a casual blog approach and this is similar to what the final site will look like, layout wise anyway. So expect a new design to take over soon.

The other reason for this shift is that unless we broke the story we didn’t really get much interest from it. That might sound like sulking but the majority of the feedback has been on reviews, previews and other features. Why deliver news content if its not needed. Thats not to say we won’t comment on news because we all still have opinions on the news as it affects the whole of gaming in general. So every time a big announcement (or even a small one) happens expect to hear what we think about it.
I understand of concerns of ‘You are just slowing down the content’, but what this shift actually allows is to have better quality articles and more importantly more interesting ones. You might have noticed the odd error here and there but this change allows us to spend a lot more time on the content you guys have asked for.

We are also looking into other things like the way we conduct reviews but this will be addressed at a later date. For the time being we will continue to post new articles running under the new site policy.

Features like The Nidzumi Podcast, The Five & The Hot Topic will still carry on as usual.
