We’ve all heard of developers cutting some content that was originally in game before launch only to release it as Downloadable content later on. Well it appears that the same thing might have happened with Burnout Paradise. Below you’ll find two slightly different maps. The first one is the final one that came with the game meanwhile the second one is a pre-release one. We have shaded out what is basically the final map on the second one, to reveal a big island on the right. We have also seen a video that give away its location and proves that its in the same place.
Another little tip is that you can actually see some half built bridges where the new island will be, if you go to the top of the parking lot near by you can actually see the island. Lets just hope that the reports of it being free are true as EA’s history of fleecing fans hasn’t gone down to well.
Note – That’s not to say EA are fleecing fans. We love you EA xxx.

The guys @ criterion have already commented on this. The 2nd map was made berfore work started on B:P, and was an artists mockup of what they hoped to achieve.
